Farrier Mooijekind in Noordwijk, the Netherlands, around 1915
The farrier Mooijekind was situated in the Nicolaas Barnhoornweg in Noordwijk. Shoeing the horses was an important source of income around 1900. After the farrier was closed the building became the family house for quite a long time.
The paintings of Rob van Assen are very popular and we are proud to be able to offer one on our website. Bright and detailed this work offers a glimpse in the history of Noordwijk, a typical Dutch village around the second last turn of the century.
