These chairs have been named after Johnson Owusu, a chair maker from Kumasi, Ghana. Until recently these chairs were mainly used in pubs and chop bars. Better known as bar-chair or chop-bar-terrace-chair. The simple shape of the seat is mainly determined by their purpose, namely to sit well and to be stackable.
The frame is made of (coated) welding steel, in which a seat is manually woven with nylon. The round shape is exactly the diameter of an oil drum around which the steel is bend. Then with the help of a razor blade and a spool the nylon is woven.
Extremely durable (weather resistant) and easy to stack.

These chairs are extremely elegant, have a bit of corrosion (which will not rise).
